Meubels op maat, handgemaakt in Amsterdam
Ik ben een meubel ontwerper-maker met een grote passie voor hout en mijn ambacht. Ik geloof in duurzame praktijken en verspreid via mijn werk bewustzijn over ambachtelijkheid.
Ontwerp op Maat
Ik ontwerp en maak allerlei soorten functionele en eigentijdse meubels. Ik geloof dat ontwerpen een proces is, en als ontwerper-maker heb ik de controle over alle stappen, van schets tot eindproduct. Elke beslissing in de reis is een bewuste balans tussen materiaal, vorm en functie. Mijn producten zijn gebruiksvoorwerpen, met mooie details, meestal in een speelse combinatie van hout en kleur.

Handgemaakte Producten
Alle producten worden door mij gebouwd in mijn werkplaats in Amsterdam West. Ik werk met een combinatie van moderne technologie en traditioneel vakmanschap, iets wat ik heb leren combineren na mijn opleiding tot meubelmaker. Ik heb een scherp oog voor detail en streef ernaar om elk product dat ik maak te perfectioneren. Mijn meubels bevatten vaak kleinere handgemaakte elementen die waarde en interesse toevoegen aan het product.
Ik ben trots op mijn vaardigheden als meubelmaker en geloof in het regelmatig oefenen met handgereedschap. Houtbewerking is een ambacht dat moet worden behouden en gepromoot, en mijn producten zijn een medium om bewustzijn te verspreiden.
Duurzame Meubels
Ik geloof dat eigentijdse ontwerpen nooit uit de mode raken en dat mijn meubels van generatie op generatie kunnen worden doorgegeven. Ik bouw meubels die een leven lang meegaan en bekritiseer wegwerplevensstijlen die grote merken promoten. Ik streef ernaar gecertificeerd hout uit duurzame bronnen te gebruiken en werk met duurzaam vervaardigde houtproducten.
Volgens mij maken kwaliteitsmaterialen, sterk schrijnwerk en de juiste knowhow geweldige meubels die de tand des tijds doorstaan.
Ik ♥ van Hout
Ik werk heel graag met de ongelooflijke veelzijdigheid en warmte van hout. Als maker ben ik constant gefascineerd door onze moeder natuur en de materialen die ze te bieden heeft. Hout is een hernieuwbare hulpbron en ik behandel het met ontzag en respect. Elk stuk hout is net zo uniek als de boom die het heeft geleverd, en het is belangrijk om er bewust gebruik van te maken.
Ik vind houtnerf geweldig en besteed er extra aandacht aan tijdens het gebruik ervan in mijn werk. Bomen vertellen hun verhaal door hun hout en dat maakt elk meubel bijzonder.
Ambachtsvrouw
Als vrouw in dit door mannen gedomineerde veld, wil ik het plezier van met je handen werken en iets moois van dagelijks gebruik creëren verspreiden. Met mijn werk hoop ik andere jonge vrouwen te inspireren om een carrière in ambacht en creativiteit na te jagen. Het is geen mannenwereld en vrouwen hebben een uniek perspectief en kunnen op een heel ander niveau bijdragen.
Ik ben onderdeel van Stichting Vakvrouw in Amsterdam en heb mijn eigen bedrijfje vanuit de gedeelde werkplaats.
